Operational Process

1. Pre-Shipment: Exporters transport containers to the CY before vessel departure. The CY checks and stores the containers until loading.
2. Post-Shipment: Upon vessel arrival, import containers are transferred from the ship to the CY. Consignees then collect cargo from the CY.

• CY-CY (Container Yard to Container Yard): Indicates that responsibility for the container is transferred from the origin CY (at the port of loading) to the destination CY (at the discharge port).
• CY-CFS (Container Yard to Container Freight Station): Used for LCL (Less than Container Load) or deconsolidation shipments.
